The elimination of plastic filters for cigarettes, advocated by the European Parliament, is one of the divisive issues between Parliament negotiators and the Council, assisted by the Commission on the proposal for a directive to limit the consumption in the EU of single-use plastic products that pollute the oceans.
And the preparatory work for the next trilogue meeting, scheduled for the evening of 18 December next (6:30 pm), does not seem to allow any progress to be made on this point...
