Council to authorise recreational fishing catch of one bass per day

21/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 19 September, EU ambassadors (Coreper) endorsed the proposal to ease regulations on recreational fishing of bass (North Sea, Irish Sea, Channel, Bristol Channel, Celtic Sea).  It has been proposed that fishermen be allowed to keep one bass per day from October to December 2018, whereas recreational fishing had been banned from January to September (see EUROPE 12088).  The Council has still to formally adopt the text which is to take effect as of...
