The annual inflation rate dipped by 0.1 percentage points in August compared to July in both the Eurozone and the European Union, to stand at 2.0% and 2.1% respectively, according to a communique published by the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Monday 17 September.
However, this constitutes an increase on August 2017, when the rate stood at 1.5% in the Eurozone and 1.7% in the EU.
