European Parliament favours visa-free regime for Kosovars making short stays in EU

13/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 13 September, the European Parliament approved the visa liberalisation scheme for citizens from Kosovo, following a vote on opening negotiations with the EU Council (420 votes in favour, 186 against and 22 abstentions).  The civil liberties (LIBE) committee voted for this on 30 August(see EUROPE 12085).  Back in September 2016, the LIBE committee approved the proposal to exempt Kosovar citizens from the obligation to have a visa on condition that...
