European maritime ports want their role recognised in post-2020 Connecting Europe Facility

06/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – In a press release on Wednesday 5 September, the European Sea Ports Organisation ­(ESPO) stated that ports must be able to benefit from a sizeable amount of funding within the Connecting Europe facility (CEF) 2021-2027. The CEF’s architecture was proposed last June and is currently being debated at the Council of the European Union and European Parliament (see EUROPE 12035, 12085).
