EEAS rails that civilians, journalists and medical workers should never be targeted

On Thursday 6 September, the spokesperson for the European External Action Service condemned the two attacks that took place in Kabul the previous day claiming 20 lives and leaving 70 wounded.

The bomb attacks, which have not thus far been claimed, first targeted Afghan citizens in a sports club in a Shi'ite district, then those who were first on the scene to bring help and journalists doing their job, the EEAS spokesperson said in a press release.
