European Parliament committee seeks compromises on western waters management plan

The 259 amendments tabled for the fish stock management plan in western waters "are a good basis for beginning discussions and drawing up compromises" among the political groups, said in Brussels on Wednesday 29 August the European Parliament rapporteur on this issue, Alain Cadec (EPP, France).

The vote on the report at the European Parliament’s fisheries committee is scheduled for 9 October in view of validation of an agreement with the Council of the EU in March 2019.
