On Thursday 30 August, MEPs from the European Parliament's civil liberties (LIBE) committee approved by a large majority (30 votes in favour, 10 against and 2 abstentions) the opening of negotiations with the EU Council to grant Kosovan citizens a visa waiver scheme for short stays.
