Revision of financial supervisory architecture – Parliament's co-rapporteurs take stock of their agreements and disagreements

On Wednesday 11 July, Pervenche Berès (S&D, France) and Burkhard Balz (EPP, Germany) presented the MEPs of the committee on economic and monetary affairs (ECON) of the European Parliament with their vision for the reform of the three European financial supervisory authorities (ESA): ESMA, EBA and EIOPA, which supervise the financial markets and the banking and insurance sectors respectively (see EUROPE 11864).
