MEPs want EU to support adoption of a UN treaty to oblige multinationals to respect human rights

MEPs belonging to the European Parliament's development committee believe it is necessary to stop the practices of multinationals that breach human rights by causing deforestation, for example, or by encouraging child labour in developing countries.
