Member states adopt interinstitutional agreement on ‘posted workers’ directive

21/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 21 June, the member states gave their final green light at the Employment and Social Policy Council (EPSCO), to the directive on ‘posted workers’, an agreement reached in March (EUROPE 11972), but not without a last ditch stand by eastern member states (the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Latvia), which insisted on the need to find agreement on the lex specialis for the road transport sector.
