Kazem Sadjadpour says Iran has no desire to dominate in region

21/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 20 June, Iran's Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Kazem Sadjadpour denied any desire of his country for hegemony.  The EU regularly criticises the negative role of Iran in the Gulf region.   "With regard to Yemen, Iran has no desire whatsoever in the region.  It has no desire to dominate", he told the European Parliament's foreign affairs committee.  He added that for his country, "the era of hegemony" is"over" – it's part of the past....
