Bulgaria and Romania given authorisation for full access to Schengen Information System

13/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 13 June, MEPs adopted a Council proposal to implement the remaining provisions of the Schengen acquis for the Schengen Information System (SIS) in Bulgaria and Romania, two countries that are already partly involved in the SIS. The Council decision would remove the last remaining restrictions involving the use of the SIS by these two countries, which are not yet members of the area of free movement.
