On Thursday 17 May, the Committee of the Regions (CoR) adopted a resolution on the consequences of Brexit for the regions. Its members unanimously stressed the need to avoid a "hard" border on the island of Ireland. They also called upon the European leaders to do all in their power to limit the impact of Brexit on the regional economies and called for the EU's assistance in this matter.
