Council adopts text of new EU-Mauritius fisheries agreement

15/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 14 May, the Council of the EU adopted, without debate, the decision on the new four-year protocol between the EU and the Republic of Mauritius (see EUROPE 11863) setting the fishing opportunities and the financial contribution. The protocol provides fishing opportunities for 40 tuna seiners and 45 surface longliners, and up to a maximum of 20 supply vessels servicing the EU fishing vessels.
