Italian MEPs fail in their attempt to block EMA's move to Amsterdam

15/03/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 15 March, the European Parliament endorsed the relocation of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) from London (United Kingdom) to Amsterdam (the Netherlands), despite vetoing attempts by Italian MEPs. The resolution was endorsed by 507 to 112 and 97 abstentions.  The rejection amendment lodged by some fifty Italian MEPs was not endorsed.  The final resolution calls for a precise timetable, for access to temporary premises before 1 January 2019 and...
