Brussels, 07/06/2016 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 3 June, the European Commission stated that the first round of free trade talks between the EU and the Philippines, which were held in Brussels from 23 to 27 May, enabled the groundwork to be laid for a future trade agreement between the two parties. The long-term goal is to seal a region-to-region agreement between the EU and the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN).
