Harlem Désir proposes Parliaments call for root-and-branch reform of how World Trade Organisation operates

Brussels, 12/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - By 48 to 5 with one abstention, the European Parliament's Industry Committee adopted the report by the French Socialist Harlem Désir on democratising the international trade system. The report, to be transmitted to the plenary in the second October session, recommends greater transparency at the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
