02/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 1 February, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a scientific opinion on low viscosity refined paraffinic waxes derived from petroleum or synthetic hydrocarbons used in food contact materials (FCMs) in response to a request for a safety assessment of these substances (FCM No. 93) submitted by the Dutch Ministry of Health.
