European Commission authorises €1 billion French scheme for companies in context of war in Ukraine

The European Commission authorised, on Thursday 1 December, a €1 billion French scheme to support companies in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The support was authorised under the Temporary Crisis Framework for State aid adopted by the Commission on 23 March 2022 and amended on 20 July and 28 October 2022.

French aid will take the form of limited amounts of aid and subsidised loans. The measure will be open to non-financial companies, regardless of their size.
