European Parliament/Council negotiations relating to EU regulation on ‘general product safety’ in digital age to resume on 8 November

The European Parliament is confident that negotiations with the Czech Presidency of the EU Council and the European Commission (‘trilogue’), on the proposed EU Regulation on the General Safety of Non-Food Products (GSR), can be concluded by the end of November. This regulation aims to adapt a 2001 directive to the booming online markets and the development of new technologies.
