Handbook to help teachers act against disinformation

On Tuesday 11 October, EU Education Commissioner Mariya Gabriel presented a practical European Commission handbook that aims to increase the digital literacy of teachers and provides them with tools to take action in the classroom against online disinformation.

While fake news spreads “six times faster” than news, “only 53%” of 15-year-olds say they have been trained to detect ‘fake news’, the Commissioner noted.
