On Tuesday, 11 October, the European Commission approved a €150 million Finnish capacity mechanism designed to safeguard security of electricity supply in Finland.
This measure will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions in the electricity sector, in compliance with the ‘European Green Deal’, and will contribute to the ‘REPowerEU’ objectives aiming to reduce dependence on Russian fossil fuels.
