MEPs are concerned about giving EUIPO greater powers over geographical indications

On Thursday 29 September, members of the European Parliament’s Agriculture Committee criticised aspects of the proposal, which they said gave too much power to the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) regarding the management of agricultural geographical indications (GIs).
